We're looking forward to receiving your ideas for investigating the benefits of teaching these subjects at the secondary level.
Grant Details
- Type of grants: All grants are project grants with a work plan, a defined start and end date, and anticipated deliverables.
- Eligibility: Although these grants are primarily targeted for universities, any non-profit, for profit or governmental organization domiciled in a U.S. state, territory or possession may apply.
- Purpose: Grants are made for research, broadly defined, on the efficacy of teaching parenting and child development at the secondary level and for SEL in the early years.
- Maximum amount: For these grants, the maximum amount is the amount of the submitted budget up to $70,000.
- Indirect costs: Indirect costs up to a maximum of 10% of the total project cost are acceptable. Exceptions for higher amounts may be considered where the demonstrated logical cost allocation method results in such higher amount, providing the overall project budget remains cost effective.
- Two step process: Sharing your idea is a two-step process. After a preliminary submission, you will receive an early indication of interest before completing a final submission.
- Dissemination plans: Broad but realistic research dissemination plans are of interest. Such plans will likely include but not be limited to publishing the resulting research report.
- Additional consideration: Additional consideration may be accorded proposals with additional funding from outside Strengthening Future Families and those with a Social and Emotional Learning component. We are especially interested in proposals that include significant state or local government participatory partnerships.
Key dates: The next Idea submission deadline is: June 20, 2025 at 06:00 PM.
